Cheektowaga - Arrest Made In Fatal Stabbing.

Cheektowaga, NY June 9, 2022 – The Cheektowaga Police have arrested and charged 27 year old Jaquan Combs of Buffalo with for the killing of 21 year old Bryce Hill of Cheektowaga. On June 8, 2022 just after 2pm Cheektowaga Police responded to dispatched call of a fight between two males in the parking lot of 3865 Harlem Rd. It was also conveyed to responding officers that one male was seen with a knife. Upon police arrival an unresponsive male with an apparent stab wound to the neck was located lying in a doorway at the front of the building. Employees from the building were seen rendering aid and administering CPR. First responding officers assisted with CPR until the arrival of AMR paramedics. Continued lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and 21 year old Bryce Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional officers on scene located 27 year old Jaquan Combson foot behind the building. Combs had blood on him and was taken into custody without incident. A folding style knife with visible blood on it was located in Combs’ pocket. Witnesses described seeing the two males argue and physically struggle with one another. The witnesses also reported seeing Combs with the knife in his hand as the two argued and struggled.

It was learned through investigation that Hill was an employee of a business inside the building at the address and that Combs and Hill arrived together in the same vehicle.

The Erie County District Attorney’s office was consulted by investigators regarding the occurrence. Jaquan Combs was booked on one count of Manslaughter 1st degree and was arraigned before Town Justice James Speyer Jr on Thursday morning. Combs was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center without bail while awaiting hearings.
