CAR THEIF ARRESTED BY DETECTIVES AFTER USING STOLEN CARD

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Detectives arrested Joshua Angielczyk, 26 of Buffalo, following an investigation of a car larceny in the Village of Alden.

On February 17, Deputy Yavicoli responded to a Rusher Drive address for a complaint that credit cards, bank cards, and personal identification cards were stolen from a vehicle overnight. Detectives Hanna and Ferrick followed up on a report that one of the cards was used at a convenient store in the city.

Subsequent to the Detectives’ investigation, Angielczyk was arrested in Buffalo on February 23. The subject is charged with a felony count of criminal possession of stolen property – credit cards, and misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and identity theft.

The defendant is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment on February 24.
