Buffalo police arrested two individuals in connection with an overnight incident that began at Holden Avenue and Leroy Avenue.
The incident began just before 2:30am when Northeast District officers were conducting a traffic stop at that intersection.
At some point, the suspects took off at a high rate of speed, passing stop signs and red lights.The pursuit ended when the suspects crashed their vehicle in the first block of Pleasant Place.Police say one of the suspects was apprehended with over 50 bags of crack cocaine in his possession.
Officers also recovered a loaded revolver from a nearby garbage tote. Buffalo police arrested 18 year old Bryan Braswell of Buffalo and 20 year old Amani Johnson if Buffalo and charged them with Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug with the intent to sell, Criminal Possession of a loaded Weapon, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to stop at a stop sign and Speed not reasonable and prudent.
Buffalo police arrested an individual in connection with a stabbing incident late Thursday night.The incident happened at approximately 11:40pm in the 500 block of Clinton Street.Central District officers arrested 34 year old Lemuel Goodwin of Buffalo after police say he stabbed another male multiple times.Goodwin is charged with Assault with Intent to Cause Serious Physical Injury with a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Weapon, with intent to use. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
