******************************************************************************* This morning, Central District Chief Joseph Gramaglia and Community Police Officers's Joseph Szafranski and Jeanan Sharpe organized with the Mayors Impact Team a clean up of the Michigan St underpass near the 33 and surrounding area. Buffalo Police responded to 311 complaints and direct calls from the community to address homeless issues by coordinating with Matt Urban Center and Lake Shore Behavioral Health Services. Together they were able to conduct outreach in the days leading up to this morning clean up where several homeless individuals were set up with new housing. Central District works regularly with Matt Urban to conduct outreach and have their workers respond to complaints involving homeless issues. The Mayors Impact Team did a great job cleaning up the area. ***************************************************************************** On Wednesday, Buffalo Police officers from the Housing unit, an Assistant Erie County District Attorney, and the Ferry-Grider Tenant Counsel partnered to have an ice cream social for the kids in Donovan Drive/ Ferry-Grider homes. Thanks to Sweet Jenny’s for providing the ice cream and plastic wear. ****************************************************************************** Buffalo Police want to remind you again with summer here to protect your vehicle by making sure your doors are locked and your windows are up.
