Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with a stabbing during a family dispute. The incident happened just before 6pm Monday evening in the 100 block of Busti Avenue. Central District officers say 20 year old Jose Felix of Buffalo stabbed his uncle during a domestic argument. Buffalo police arrested Felix and charged him with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The victim was transported to ECMC to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred just before midnight Sunday night. Ferry - Fillmore officers responded to the call in the 200 block of Townsend Street. Officers say the defendant fired at least one round from a handgun and then fled the scene in a vehicle. Police say he crashed the vehicle on Coit Street, then began fleeing on foot through yards before he was apprehended on Stanton Street. Buffalo police arrested 29 year old Jason A. Bishop of Buffalo and charged him with Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief with the Intent to Damage Property and Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree.
The City of Buffalo and Buffalo police announced Monday night the immediate closing of Sweets Lounge located on Schreck Avenue near Olympic Avenue following a weekend incident. Detectives say three females were struck by gunfire while inside the lounge just after 3am Sunday morning. All three suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call or text the Confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847 - 2255. In closing the establishment, police cited numerous calls including loud noise, fights and other issues.
