We have chosen to share this video as we do not find it graphic. Shots are heard but at no time do you see anyone being shot. The video shows what Buffalo Police Officers dealt with on McKinley Parkway as a mother is held hostage by a man holding a shotgun. As she attempts to struggle to break free, the shotgun is discharged. Thankfully, it did not strike anyone. At that point, Buffalo Police chose to shoot the suspect as it was a life or death situation for the mother and anyone within the shotgun's sight and reach. We believe Buffalo Police did an OUTSTANDING job and their training and restraint definitely played a huge role during this incident. We wish the mother well and hope she recovers from this nightmare and we honor the Buffalo Police Dept and Buffalo Police SWAT Team Members for their professionalism during situations like these.
