Buffalo man arrested by NYS Police for gun possession in Clarence.



On July 5, 2019 Troopers observed a vehicle on Transit Rd in Clarence operating with a front passenger not wearing her seatbelt.  The vehicle was stopped and the odor of marijuana was detected.  The vehicle was searched and a passenger, Frederick D. Parsons, 19 of Buffalo was found to be in possession of an unregistered hand gun with a defaced serial number.  Additionally, the 17-year-old driver, was found to be in possession of approximately 48 grams of marijuana.  Both subjects were arrested and processed.  The 17-year-old was released with a return court date in Clarence.  Parsons was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd (D felony) and was found to be wanted on a warrant from the City of Buffalo. He was processed and then turned over to Buffalo PD on the warrant.
