Buffalo Driver Arrested Under Leandra’s Law by Erie Co Sheriff's Office.

Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of a Buffalo man on felony DWI charges on December 5, 2022.

At approximately 9:05 p.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop on Route 16 in the town of Holland. The subsequent investigation discovered that 22-year-old Glenn Skinner was operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and cannabis. The deputies also observed a 12-year-old in the vehicle and an open container of alcohol.

He was arrested and charged with a felony count of DWI with a minor in the vehicle (Leandra’s Law), misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. The defendant was also cited for drinking alcohol in a vehicle on a highway, operating a vehicle without a license, and operating a motor vehicle without proper insurance.

Skinner was released with appearance tickets for a future court date.
