Buffalo - Child Injured by Run Away Tire, Father Arrested on Suspicion of Child Endangerment and Sus
Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with the shooting early Sunday morning
in the 300 block of Phyllis Avenue.
The incident happened at approximately 2:30am.
Detectives arrested 19 year old Andre Vernon of Buffalo and charged him with assault in the 1st degree.
A 29 year old Buffalo male remains in critical condition at ECMC.
Buffalo police have arrested the father of a one month old female infant in connection with a call
that officers responded to just after 8:30pm Sunday night.
Ferry-Fillmore officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Goodyear Avenue.
Police say the infant had suspicious wounds on its back.
Buffalo police arrested the father, 27 year old Daniel Solomon, and charged him with
Endangering the welfare of a child and Criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The child was transported to Women and Children's Hospital to be treated.
Officers Mark D. Ambellan, Nicholas C. Skalski assisted in the investigation along with the
Juvenile Sex Offense Squad.
Buffalo police say a 3 year old girl was struck by a tire while waiting for a school bus Monday morning.
The incident happened just before 8:30am at Bailey Avenue and Dorris Avenue.
Northeast District officer's say a vehicle was traveling southbound on Bailey when a front tire
came off the vehicle and struck the child.
The child was transported by ambulance to Women and Children's Hospital to be treated.
