Buffalo - Buffalo Police Make Two Separate Arrests for Assault and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Buffalo police have arrested an individual in connection with an incident at Buffalo General Hospital.
Central District officers responded to the call just after midnight.
Police say an intoxicated male was transported to the hospital to be treated.
Once there, authorities say the individual was belligerent and combative with staff.
Authorities say at some point he kicked a security guard, pushed a nurse and attempted to run out of the hospital before being apprehended by security.
Buffalo police arrested 35 year old David L. Proctor of Fredonia and charged him with Assault in the Second Degree.
Buffalo police arrested an individual after stealing a backpack from a student while waiting for a school bus.
The incident happened Monday morning at 9am at Howard Street and Lewis Street.
Ferry - Fillmore officers say two students were waiting for the bus when a van pulled up, the passenger jumped out of the vehicle, approached one of the students and demanded all of his stuff. At some point, the suspect made off with the backpack. Police say the suspect was armed with a gun.
The suspect got back in the van and fled, according to police.
A short time later, officers spotted a van matching the description in the first block of Laux St.
Police apprehended the suspect inside the van and recovered the backpack.
Buffalo police arrested 18 year old Cale Klembczyk of Laux Street and charged him with
Robbery/Forcible Theft with a Deadly Weapon, Menacing in the Second Degree and Criminal
Possession of Stolen Property.
Buffalo police remind motorists of the ongoing Pearl Street Conversion Project.
Paving has begun on Pearl Street and will continue through this week.
Motorists should be aware that during the paving process, lane restrictions will be in place.
When the project is completed, Pearl Street will be converted to a two way street.
