Body Recovered From Niagara River.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announced today the team assembled to search for a missing swimmer in the east branch of the Niagara River recovered a male victim.

Search teams located and recovered an individual around 11 a.m. Wednesday, downriver from the south Grand Island bridges and where a male swimmer went missing Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was turned over to the medical examiner for an autopsy and proper identification.
