BICYCLIST STRUCK BY VEHICLE IN ELMA FLOWN TO ECMC IN SERIOUS CONDITIONSheriff’s Office asking public to help identify victim.
Buffalo, NY – Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Higgins and Yavicoli responded to the area near Bowen and Billington roads in the Town of Elma today around 2:45 p.m. for reports of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle.
The victim was flown to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight with undisclosed yet serious injuries.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify the victim that was struck on Bowen Road. The bicyclist is described as a heavy-built, white male with dark gray hair and is approximately 60-years-old. The victim was wearing a yellow helmet, blue long-sleeve sweatshirt, and black spandex style shorts. If anyone knows the identity of this individual they are asked to contact the Erie County Sheriff’s Office at 716.858.2903.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit.
