Arrest Made In Fatal Hit and Run Investigating.

On August 18, 2020 the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) arrested Keiyoshia M. James, 20 of Niagara Falls, NY for Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Resulting in Death (VTL D Felony).

On December 21, 2019 at 8:20 A.M., Troopers out of SP Niagara responded to Lockport Road in the town of Niagara for a human body located off the side of the roadway.  Further investigation revealed that the victim, Maxim Vyazovoy, 22 of Niagara Falls, NY was walking on the north side of the roadway and was struck by a vehicle-traveling west bound on Lockport Road.  The Niagara County Coroner pronounced the victim at the scene.  Utilizing the vehicle evidence left at the scene and other forms of evidence, the vehicle was located.  James was arrested and processed. James was virtually arraigned at SP Niagara by Niagara Falls City Court.  James was released on her own recognizes and scheduled for court in October 2020.

NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, NYSP Forensic Identification Unit, Niagara Falls Police Department, the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office and the Town of Niagara Fire Department assisted in this investigation.
