ARREST MADE IN ERIE COUNTY DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two individuals on drug-related charges in the Town of Brant.
On September 1, shortly after noon, Deputies initiated a traffic stop along Evangola State Park Road for vehicle and traffic law violations. During the investigation, Deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and the driver.
The driver, 30-year-old Christina Hall of Buffalo, admitted to possessing marijuana, and 27-year-old Derrick Roseboro of Cheektowaga was found to have a large quantity of cocaine secreted in his pants.
Hall is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and a vehicle and traffic violation. She was released on appearance tickets.
Roseboro was arrested and charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic – 4-ounces or more and criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell. The defendant is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment. Roseboro is currently on parole for weapons and drug possession convictions.
Roseboro’s arrest follows a two-month-long investigation by the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, Buffalo Police’s narcotics, and intelligence units into reports about drugs transported from Buffalo to the southern towns of Erie County for distribution.
