Cheektowaga, NY – On March 7, 2021, at approximately 12:05 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the town of Cheektowaga for multiple vehicle and traffic violations. After interviewing the driver, Dmarcus A. Tallchief, 27, of Angola, NY, he was found to be intoxicated and had a suspended license. Tallchief was taken into custody, transported, and processed at SP Buffalo where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .26%.
Additionally, Tallchief has three prior DWI convictions within the last 10 years and is required to operate a vehicle with an ignition interlock device. As a result, he was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Class D Felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st degree; a Class E Felony, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with no Ignition Interlock Device; a Class A Misdemeanor.
Tallchief was released to a sober third party with appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Cheektowaga Court on March 19, 2021 at 9:00 a.m.
