CAUSE: Under investigation by the Amherst Fire Inspectors Office


INJURIES: None Reported


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Amherst Fire Control received a 911 call from the occupant reporting a kitchen fire in their apartment. The Getzville Fire Company was on location within three minutes and found the two story apartment fully involved. The fire was brought under control within twenty minutes and was contained to the apartment by a firewall in the four unit, two story wood frame structure. Four occupants who were in the process of moving out were displaced along with twelve occupants of the other three units. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation by the Amherst Fire Inspectors Office
