Amherst man arrested for violating Leandra's Law.



On January 1, 2019 Troopers responded to a report of a two car accident on Greiner Rd near Old Goodrich Rd, Clarence.  Investigation revealed Christopher Sansone was intoxicated and also using a cell phone when he crossed into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a vehicle.  Minor injuries were reported by two of the passengers in the vehicle he struck.  Sansone was traveling with four juveniles in the car, three of which were under 16, a Leandra’s law violation.  Sansone failed field sobriety tests and was transported to State Police Clarence where he provided a breath sample of .14% BAC.  Sansone was charged with aggravated DWI (Leandra’s law) a Felony and endangering the welfare of a child.  Additionally, he was cited for texting, failing to keep right and operating a motor vehicle without an inspection.  He was released with a return court date in Clarence.
