4 DWI Arrests Made by Sheriff’s Deputies Over Weekend.



Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports his office made four driving while intoxicated arrests this weekend.

February 24, 9 P.M., Town of Concord – Deputy Zamorek stopped a vehicle on Sharp Street near Genesee Road for speeding. The Deputy administered field sobriety tests and Aaron Kephart, 41 of Concord, was arrested for DWI. Kephart is charged with aggravated DWI – BAC .18 or higher, speeding, moving from a lane unsafely, and drinking alcohol in a vehicle on a roadway. Kephart was released to a third party with tickets and has a future Concord Town Court appearance scheduled.

February 24, 10:30, Town of North Collins – Deputies Christian and Hyde responded to a complaint of a vehicle in a ditch along Quaker Road. While interviewing the driver, the Deputies detected the strong odor of alcohol and administered standard field sobriety tests. Upon failing the tests, Michael Renowden, 27 of Collins, was arrested and is charged with DWI, moving unsafely from a lane, and failing to produce an insurance card. Renowden was issued tickets and later was released.

February 25, 2:58 A.M., Town of Clarence – Deputy Biegasiewicz initiated a traffic stop on Eastbrooke Place for vehicle and traffic violations. The operator, Samir Desai, failed standard field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Desai, 36 of Williamsville, is charged with DWI, failing to use the designated lane, and using the improper lane. He was released to a family member.

February 26, 2:29 A.M., Town of Holland – Vehicle and traffic violations led to Deputy Zamorek to initiate a traffic stop on Olean Road. Following a brief investigation, Owen Wrazen, 23 of Arcade was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI – BAC .18 or higher, following too close, speeding, and two other traffic infractions. Wrazen was issued tickets and released to a third party.
