2 Vehicle Crash Results in a Fatality.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Crash Investigation Unit is investigating a fatal collision which occurred on Creek Road in the Town of Concord on September 29 at approximately 2:15 P.M. Initially, Deputies Szkatulski, Lysy, and Pisa were dispatched to the scene where they found a two-vehicle incident. One vehicle was resting in the center of the road while the other vehicle was resting on its roof on the south side of the road. Twenty-five-year-old Allyson Rollek of Springville, the operator of the vehicle in the middle of the roadway, was transported to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital where she was later transported to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the overturned vehicle, sixty-six-year-old Ralph Spaulding of Java Center, was declared deceased at the scene by EMS. His eleven-year-old male passenger was transported from the scene to Oishei Children’s Hospital via Mercy Flight for head injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
