Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports two separate traffic stops on August 25.
1:26 a.m., Town of Brant – After observing vehicle and traffic violations, Deputies stopped a vehicle on Milestrip Road near Versailles Plank. While speaking with the operator, he voluntarily handed over a plastic bag containing crack cocaine. The driver informed the Deputies of additional narcotics in the vehicle. The subsequent search discovered a large bag with approximately 13 grams of crack cocaine and 1.5 grams of powder cocaine. Deputies recovered nearly 17 grams of crack cocaine.
30-year-old Leroy Moore of Buffalo was arrested and charged with felony counts of criminal possession of narcotics with intent to sell and criminal possession of a narcotic. Moore was also charged with an NYS vehicle and traffic law violation.
The defendant was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in Town of Brant court.
2:44 a.m., Town of Clarence – following a traffic stop and subsequent investigation arrested the operator after several illegally possessed oxycodone pills were discovered in his possession.
28-year-old Joshua Wright of Buffalo is charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was issued appearance tickets and released.
The Deputies’ investigation discovered the passenger, 46-year-old Carrie Pecoraro, had an outstanding warrant for a drug-related charge out of Cheektowaga. She was turned over to Cheektowaga police.
