Erie Co. Blotter covers mostly live breaking incidents as they are happening throughout Erie County, NY. We are a private self funded company made up of a retired emergency services worker and a retired police officer who are still dedicated to doing the jobs we loved and remain active in our hearts by posting incidents for you the general public and emergency services personnel alike. Our Site is 100% Dedicated to the Men and Women in Law Enforcement and our beloved Emergency Services Family. Please note that as we post incidents as they are happening, they are not always final and we often DO NOT know the final outcome of these incidents unless we have been updated by the proper agency(s) handling those incidents.
Erie Co.Blotter is a volunteer organization of individuals who are avid supporters of Public Safety. We monitor radio transmissions and submit information for the public dissemination. Our members utilize radio scanners, listening to multiple agencies and frequencies in a manner that is to inform, and not to interfere or deter Public Safety from their mission.
Erie Co.Blotter does not encourage, but vigorously discourages anyone from "chasing calls”, taking photos without permission From ErieCoBlotter Admins AND Scene Command, interfering with scene operations, radio or verbal communications. Photos may be submitted but must be taken at a safe distance and within Legal Public Property, and if possible, permission of First Responders. We do not take and/or post photos of victims at ANY scene.
Erie Co.Blotter does produce vehicle emblems and other items strictly for public promotion of our site and organization.
Erie Co.Blotter may have access to special frequencies used by agencies, but will not publish them on our site or share them in any manner as to protect First Responders and respect their privacy in serious situations.
Erie Co.Blotter at times may offer items for sale (ie, car emblems, shirts, hats, etc). ALL funds collected are immediately given to a public safety organization as a donation. All equipment and items used by members are purchased out of their own money and/or Private Funding.
